Prince’s news!

“Prince,” AKA Perseus of Anderson’s Acres,  joined our operation June, 2017.  Prince is a beautiful Maremma who is quick to alert us of any threats.  He is young and will mature nicly.  Prince’s  DOB is Nov 13, 2015. His sire is Leonardo PSM4230G and his dam is Mona Lisa ZZF5211G.  He is an excellent guardian of our alpacas.  He was evaluated by Penn Hip May 17, 2017. The results indicated that Prince has minimal risk for hip OA. As a result, he joined our breeding program.  This fall he bred our Allie and we hope fora litter late Dec.

Gabby’s News!

Gabby has rested a cycle and be will bred to Hank in late summer for a ’15 fall litter of pups.  These pups will be registed Maremma Sheep Dogs.  Both dam and sire are OFA tested (hips and eyes).  As usual, the puppies will be microchipped for identification.  They will have their health examination and have puppy shots/worming appropriate for eight week puppies.  The males can be purchased for $850@ and the females $900@.  A deposit of $250 will reserve a pup for you.  These pups will go quickly.  We already have reserves aside for this future litter!

Allie’s News!

Allie has been bred to our sire, Prince (Perseus of Anderson Acres). 

Allie is a wonderful guardian of our alpacas and now will have a litter for future guardians the late Dec. 2017.  Her sire is our Prince. Please check out the Prince photos and info.  These two should have extraordinary  puppies.  There has been lots of interest.  If you are looking for a guardian puppy, email (howe2206@gmail.com) us and we will put you in the waiting.  Once we know she is pregnant (for sure) we will e-mail you and you may send a deposit ($250) and we will hold a pup.  We only sell to working situations.  Males sell for $850 and females for $900.

The ’17 Central Kansas Yarn Hop came to to AWH!

It is warm still but fall will be with us before we know it.  The Central Kansas Yarn Hop was here October 17 to 22, 2017.  Six yarn shops participated. (Including Alpacas of Wildcat Hollow!)   The participants will get to shop at wonderful shops in central Kansas, got two free patterns, special discounts and stamp for their passport.  The shoppers if each store will be available to a lottery for the store gift baskets worth $150 plus of yarn goodies!  If the hopper goes to all six shops they entered for the drawing of the grand prize worth $800+!!!

Emma and AML Nobility’s newest arrival!

We haven’t found a name but we are very excited to announce our new cria. He is everything we wished for! Emma has brought home blue ribbons and Nobility is a multiple champion winner and this little guy’s presence, confirmation, energy (he hit the ground running!) reflects his genetics!

Join us at AWH November 15, 2014: Learn to Hand Dye, make a Alpaca Poncho Caplet, an Alpaca Headband or an Alpaca Roving Rug!!!

SONY DSCMaking this caplet is an easy and fun project and you will end up with a new alpaca garment for yourself or a beautiful gift for a friend.  The next class is scheduled for November 15.   (Make a child size caplet for $24 or an adult size for $52).  The class is free, you simply buy the yarn!

Nov. 15th, AWH will feature Deb Waggoner and she will teach HAND PAINTING with acid dyes.  The charge of the class is $50 and you will leave with new knowledge of hand painting, and a skein of your own creation and hand outs.   E-mail Marta (howe2206@gmail.com) to schedule your class that day.  Do it soon as the classes are filling up.  

Also taught that day:
Make an alpaca headband!  The class is free, you simply buy the yarn!   Bring your hook (e or f)!  

Make an Alpaca roving rug!  These rugs are unbelievably soft and
scrumptiously delicious for your bare feet!! A great Christmas gift for your honey!  Again the class is free just buy the materials!  $39.00!

We are serving lunch, $8. 00.  If you take the dye class and another class, the lunch is free!
